Asset Curve is a complete solution that lets organisations track assets, applications, tasks, risk and more, all with security front of mind and in a cost-effective, scalable way. We built it as a SaaS product from the ground up, with a React and TypeScript front end and a Django REST Framework back end, hosted entirely on AWS. The result is one platform that gives teams a clear, secure handle on everything they need to keep track of.
Asset and risk management means handling a lot of moving parts: assets, applications, users, tasks and risk registers, often imported in bulk. The platform had to ingest large volumes of data quickly, keep security at the centre, and stay cost-effective as organisations grew. Several features were being built at once, so the architecture had to stay clean and dependable throughout.
We built a fully functional prototype first, with a React and TypeScript front end talking to a Django REST Framework back end, so the core experience could be validated early. We optimised queries for bulk uploads of assets, applications, risks, users and tasks, and stood up the cloud architecture on AWS using EC2, S3, RDS, auto scaling, CloudWatch and Amplify. Bitbucket handled source control alongside Jira, and daily scrums kept the team focused on the business goal with constant feedback.
